KARA SEVDA: EMIR POISONED OZAN?
EPISODE 42 - Wednesday, 2nd November 2016
After being told about Kemal's investigations by his spy and inviting Nihan to Kemal's last location, Emir has something planned up his sleeve. He confesses to poisoning Ozan in front of Kemal and Nihan but, he also had his reasons. Seeing the shock on their faces, Emir explains that he had only poisoned Ozan in order to get him transfered to a hospital - where he would kidnap him and reunite him with his family. His claims are backed up by Nihan's own flashbacks of Emir offering to kidnap Ozan from prison - which she refuses. However, Emir went ahead with his plan anyway and managed to poison Ozan badly enough that he was transferred to a hospital. It is, as we know, at the hospital where Ozan 'commits' suicide. However, Emir's explanation is not enough for Kemal who asks why Emir did not kidnap Ozan then? Although Nihan appears to believe Emir, and also warns Kemal to stay away, she knows Emir well enough to have some suspicions about the whole thing. Read and watch the translated clip below!
Kemal: What are you doing here?
Nihan: What’s going on again? Why did you-
Emir: I invited her Mr. Kemal. Where you expecting someone else? You are surprised. Of course, you were expecting to see only me.
Nihan: Emir, can you tell me what’s going on here immediately?
Emir: I’ll cut to the point and start, Mr. Kemal thinks I poisoned Ozan.
Nihan: How? Why?
Emir: The strange thing is, he’s right. I poisoned Ozan, because I wanted to kidnap him from the prison.
(Flashback) 1 year ago.
Emir: Nihan, do you want me to kidnap Ozan?
Nihan: Don’t you dare, Emir. Don’t you dare plan something. I don’t want him to look even more guilty, he’s already guilty.
Emir: Whatever you want.
(Present)
Nihan: Well, why are we talking about this now?
Kemal: Did you know about it all?
Emir: No, Mr. Curious, she didn’t. I just wanted to make you happy, to protect our brother. I wanted to free what you had thrown into prison so I could fix everything.
(Flashback) 1 year ago.
Galib: If Nihan doesn’t want it, why are you so focused on kidnapping Ozan? … Of course, the answer is always the same. Without Ozan, you can’t control your wife. To kidnap Ozan from prison is very risky, Emir.
Emir: I’m not going to kidnap him from prison. I need to find a way to get him out of there, something that will put him in hospital.
Galib: What could it be? It has to be something that they can’t sort out in prison.
Emir: Something like poisoning – strong enough to burn the stomach, but weak enough not to kill him. I’ve already started the preparations. This is where I need your help, I need you to find me someone on the inside.
Galib: Okay, I’ll sort it out and you focus on the rest. Look Emir, be very careful. Don’t make me stress about getting you off the hook again.
Emir: That’s why I need your help, I don’t want to be found out. The man won’t know interact with me.
(Present)
Emir: I sorted everything and everyone, despite you telling me not to. So that you won’t cry like this now. If I could go back in time I would have done the same thing again, I would have kidnapped Ozan from that prison – at least your brother would have been alive.
Nihan: You should have told me this earlier, Emir.
Emir: I couldn’t because it wasn’t a successful plan. It would have just hurt you, like it is now. But when Mr. Kemal, for some reason, started looking into this I didn’t want us to fall into the same thing. I wanted to explain everything to you.
Nihan: You don’t have the right to be involved with anything related to my brother. Don’t investigate the past Kemal, apart from that which you have done yourself. (To Emir) If you asked me right now, with the mind I have now, I would have wanted you to kidnap him more than anything. I would have risked taking all the blame if it meant Ozan would live.
Emir: Are you going to impress my wife like this? Didn’t you give up on that love? It is tough to stay as an exciting memory of the past, I know. You need adrenaline-filled new ideas, but don’t look for ones involving me. You won’t find any answers there. You may have taken 7 million (TL) from me, but you can’t take Nihan.
Kemal: Why didn’t you kidnap him? If you sorted everything out, why didn’t you kidnap him?
Emir: I didn’t make it in time. When my men went there to kidnap him, he had already committed suicide.
Kemal: Nihan is running from the truth, but I don’t run. If I wanted to, I would take everything away from you right now. But nothing scares you more than the truth. You’ve been itching to explain yourself, and I’m just watching. Lies need a lot of sentences, and you spoke a lot, a lot.
